No Temporary.
No Messy Impressions.
One Easy Appointment.

CEREC is an advanced dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, cracked, or chipped teeth. With CEREC we can create all porcelain full crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers.

Porcelain Fused to Metal (traditional) Crowns are usually easily detectable because their color is "superficial".  They lack depth and far too often have a metal band near the gingival (gum) margin which looks dark.

CEREC restorations are beautiful and look extremely natural because of their translucency and, by completely eliminating the metal substructure, there is NO "black" margin.

They are also amazingly accurate and wear about the same rate on natural tooth structure.

CEREC technology is also very convenient. The final restoration is usually delivered in the same day. That means NO ugly temporary crowns that come off.

An added benefit is the impression. All digital, "no messy stuff".

The procedure for a CEREC restoration is very simple. The first step is to remove all decay from the tooth. Then the doctor repairs, rebuilds and adequately shapes the tooth. The tooth is then sprayed with a very fine powder. This allows the "digital camera" to take an accurate image(actually, an infrared scan). Once this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will allow the doctor to design the restoration right in front of you. Once the design is completed, instructions are transmitted wirelessly to the milling machine in the back of the office. This machine will precisely mill the restoration from a porcelain block in 15-20 min. The final restoration is then adjusted and bonded in place. A final x-ray is taken to confirm accuracy and excess "cement" removal. The entire process usually takes around 2 hours.
